CLGA Flashback 3000 Gala
Client: Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives
Role: Branding, Way Finding, Production
The Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives (CLGA) is the largest independent LGBTQ+ archives in the world. Its mission is to acquire, preserve, organize, and give public access to information and materials in any medium, by and about LGBT people, primarily produced in or concerning Canada.
The CLGA hosts annual fundraising galas with "Flashback" themes. 2017's theme was Flashback 3000, based on the idea of "flashback to the future." I volunteered to design all branding and communications material for the event.
Expanding upon the idea of "building a better future," the visual system incorporates 3D blocks and grids with gradient silvers and magenta to create a semi retro futuristic feel.
Client: Texas Ballet Theater
This piece is one example of my own choreographic works created during my time as a principle ballet dancer and resident choreographer with O.B.E. Ben Stevenson's Texas Ballet Theater, resident company of Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. I've also been commissioned work for Atlanta Ballet School, Western Australia Academy for the Performing Arts, and Ballet Arkansas.
