With offices in New York, The Netherlands, and Hong Kong, Kikkerland products are sold in thousands of stores all over the world, including MoMA Design Store, Target, The Container Store, and Bed Bath and Beyond. The company's mission is to bring joy and delight into people’s daily lives with well-designed, ingenious items that solve practical needs. As an in-house industrial designer, my responsibility was to concept, design, develop, and pitch products for sale globally through Kikkerland's catalog or customized for clients. Collaborating with company leadership, I helped strategize designs around market trends and customer needs. I worked directly with factories to develop products and ensure quality from start to finish, while coordinating with multiple departments, including sales, packaging, and marketing, to bring our delightful products to life.
Kikkerland participates in trade shows all over the world. Working with our in-house production team and outside vendors, it was my job to help design our trade show booths and develop schematic layouts and installation packages for each location. I worked closely with various sales managers and Kikkerland’s marketing department to coordinate shipments, installation, take-down, and branding.
Additionally, I designed and developed various retail display products and systems manufactured in Europe and China, which are currently part of the Kikkerland catalogue or retail merchandizing packages.
